This project aims to improve ecosystem health of Kulunilup Lake by protecting and revegetating twenty hectares of degraded, partly salt affected land that drains directly into the Lake. The project will also enhance connectivity for wildlife (focus on the endangered Australasian Bittern, a heavy-set, partially nocturnal heron with upperparts that are patterned dark brown and buff) as the site directly links to a 400ha remnant that occurs on the property and the Kulunilup Nature Reserve (separated only by Wingebellup Rd). The project aims to maximise habitat restoration values by using state of the art revegetation techniques to maximise structural and functional diversity appropriate for the range of landscape positions, soil types and hydrological conditions present at the site
