Catherine Johnston
Catherine grew up in London and enjoyed every opportunity to escape to the countryside to explore the natural environment. Her love for the outdoors led to her chosen degree in Environmental Policy and Human Geography and to pursue her dream of a career in natural resource management.
Catherine moved away from the big city lights to live in Canberra and start her environmental career working for the Department of Agriculture. Luckily, she found her way to Albany. It’s here, in the beautiful Great Southern, where she has been able to enjoy many roles in community engagement, environmental volunteer management, managing natural resources, balancing ecological needs with human development, protecting endangered species.
As the NRM Officer for Gillamii, Catherine continues her passion in engaging with the local communities and helping to achieve healthy and productive environments.
