The Frankland Gordon Strategic Catchment Investigation Project is designed to initiate the development of a Catchment Plan for implementation during the next investment phase. Project elements will capitalise on available resources, the strength of community commitment and participation and the regional direction set through the South Coast Strategy for NRM.
This Investigation Project proposes to adopt a multi-faceted approach, needed due to the size and complexity of the Frankland-Gordon Catchment and to be proactive in meeting any logistical changes prompted by the move into a new investment phase beyond June 2008. It is anticipated the incorporation of information gathered during the life of this projects preliminary planning and investigations, along with future stages of development, will deliver a more comprehensive product for continued strategic investment and targeted implementation of activity.
